Assoc Prof Quinn is Director of Oncology/Dysplasia at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne and Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.

He is the author of more than 150 articles and has written a number of important text books on Gynaecological Cancer

Assoc Prof Quinn chairs a number of committees including the National Cancer Control Initiative, and the Education Committee of the International Gynecological Cancer Society. He also currently chairs the Ovarian Cancer Research Group at the Cancer Council and is a member of the National Expert Advisory Group on Ovarian Cancer.

Assoc Prof Quinn is a dedicated fundraiser for research into gynaecological cancer and has personally raised over $450,000 by running marathons around the world.

In 1996, Assoc Prof received the Victoria Day Award for Community Services.
